Muslims give more to charity than other religious groups, new research suggests.

At almost £371 each, Muslims topped the poll of religious groups that give to charity.

When they donated last year, atheists averaged £116, The Times reported (£).

The ICM poll found that Jewish donors gave an average of £270 per person.

Roman Catholics averaged just over £178, Christians just under £178 and Protestants £202.

According to the poll of 4,000, carried out in conjunction with the JustGiving website, nearly four in 10 atheists did not donate at all, compared to three in ten Muslims, Catholics and other Christians, nearly three in ten Protestants and more than four in ten Jewish people.

أجرى مركز "ICM" للأبحاث استطلاع رأي في "بريطانيا"، كانت نتيجته أن المسلمين هم أكرم من يقوم بالأعمال الخيرية في "بريطانيا".

أجرى المركز دراسته على 4 آلاف شخص قدم لهم استطلاع الرأي، واتضح أن أكثر من يساهم بالمساعدات في المؤسسات الخيرية الموجودة في "بريطانيا" هم المسلمون؛ ففي العام الماضي وصل متوسط التبرعات التي قام بها المسلمون إلى 371 جنيه إسترليني للفرد، في حين وصل متوسط تبرعات اليهود إلى 270 جنيه إسترليني للفرد.

وبالنسبة للملحدين فكان متوسط تبرعاتهم 116 جنيه إسترليني للفرد، والكاثوليك 178 جنيه إسترليني للفرد، والبروتستانت 202 جنيه إسترليني للفرد.

أما بالنسبة للمؤسسات التي تمارس الأعمال الخيرية في "بريطانيا"، فقد أظهرت الدراسة أن أول مركزين من نصيب المسلمين، وتحتلهما جمعيات "Muslim Aid" و "Islamic Relief"؛
